Leo is born in the heart of summer, and it shows. If you're a Leo, you bring light and warmth into every room you walk into. You're creative, big-hearted and unafraid to shine, and you inspire other people to shine too.
Personality
Leo is the only sign ruled by the Sun itself, and like the Sun, you naturally draw people in. You have a flair for drama, a love of celebration and a deep need to express yourself, through art, style, performance or simply the way you tell a story. Life, to you, is meant to be lived out loud.
Behind the confidence is a generous, loyal heart. Leos love to make others feel special, throw the party, give the thoughtful gift, cheer the loudest at your friend's big moment. You also have a playful, childlike joy that never quite goes away. You need appreciation, yes, but you give it back tenfold.

In love
Leo loves grandly and loyally. You're romantic, affectionate and proud of your partner, and you want to be proud of you as a couple. You love date nights, big gestures and being told you're adored. You do best with a partner who appreciates your warmth, gives genuine admiration and has a spark of their own.
As a friend
You're the friend who makes every gathering more fun, who throws the birthday surprise and who will defend your people to the end. Friends feel celebrated around you.
At work
Leo shines in work that gives you room to create, lead and be seen. You do well in roles where your personality is an asset and your work gets recognized. Give a Leo a stage, literal or figurative, and you'll light it up.
Taking care of yourself
Do something just for the joy of it: dance, paint, dress up, sing in the car. Spend time in the sunshine. And let yourself be celebrated without feeling like you have to earn it.
Myth and history
In Greek myth, Leo is the Nemean Lion, a fearsome beast whose golden hide could not be pierced by any weapon. Defeating it was the first of the twelve labors of Heracles, who wrestled the lion and then wore its hide as armor. Zeus placed the lion in the sky to honor the great struggle.
Many ancient cultures saw a lion in these stars. Its brightest star, Regulus, means 'little king' in Latin, and it was one of the four 'royal stars' of ancient Persian astronomy.
Dear Leo, your light makes the world brighter. Shine on, and never let anyone convince you to dim it.
