Virgo arrives at harvest time, when the work of the year comes to fruition. If you're a Virgo, you have a gift for making things better: more organized, more useful, more beautiful in their details. You notice what others miss, and you quietly fix it.
Personality
Ruled by Mercury, Virgo has a sharp, analytical mind. You love to learn how things work, solve problems and get things right. But Virgo's real motivation isn't perfection for its own sake. It's care. You want to help, to be useful, to make life a little easier for the people you love.
Virgos are often modest and thoughtful, the type to show love through action rather than big speeches. You'll remember someone's food allergy, fix their résumé, or quietly handle the details nobody else wanted to deal with. You also have a gentle, dry sense of humor that sneaks up on people.

In love
Virgo loves through devotion and thoughtful care. You might take your time opening up, but once you do, you're attentive, loyal and endlessly considerate. You show love in practical ways, like making sure your partner has everything they need. You do best with someone patient, honest and appreciative of the little things you do.
As a friend
You're the friend everyone calls for advice, and the one who actually follows up afterward. You're dependable, honest and always willing to help a friend get organized, get healthy or get their life back on track.
At work
Virgo excels in work that rewards skill, precision and service. You love being good at what you do and making a real difference. Roles in health, research, editing, analysis or any craft that takes mastery suit you beautifully.
Taking care of yourself
Give your busy mind a break with something hands-on: gardening, cooking, knitting, a tidy-up that feels good. Spend time in nature. And practice saying 'I did enough today.' You did.
Myth and history
Virgo is often linked to Astraea, the Greek goddess of justice and innocence. According to legend, she was the last of the immortals to leave Earth as humanity grew more troubled, and she went to live among the stars. She's also connected with Demeter, goddess of the harvest, and her daughter Persephone.
In Babylonian astronomy, part of this region was called 'the Furrow,' pictured as a goddess holding an ear of grain. That's the meaning of the constellation's brightest star, Spica: 'ear of wheat' in Latin.
Dear Virgo, the world runs a little smoother because of you. Remember: you don't have to be perfect to be wonderful.
